As an original organization of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, the Detroit Derby Girls have empowered hundreds of women in metro Detroit and made a lasting international impact. In fact, one team member has started a globally traded business and credits her success to her involvement in Derby. 

The Detroit team is known around the world for it's strength and competitive nature on the track and sense of community off of it. Members talk about their memories when they first join the team and the friendships they've made because of this close knit community.
