Free Tips for Planning an Awesome Family Reunion in Detroit
Eating Aunt Mae's famous potato salad. Competing for bragging rights against your cousins in the annual horseshoe tournament. Listening to stories your grandparents have retold for years and laughing about "the good old days." Family reunions can be loads of fun, but the planning process may seem overwhelming.
Luckily, the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau (DMCVB) is here to help with a FREE reunion planning seminar on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016. Whether you're reconnecting with relatives, convening with classmates or meeting up with military pals, enlisting the assistance of the experts at the DMCVB is your first step to hosting a meaningful and memorable event.
At Reunion Planning 101, you'll learn the ins and outs of organizing a reunion, including tips on hotel and banquet selection. Need a T-shirt company, caterer, DJ or transportation? The DMCVB can recommend reliable local service providers. Searching for a great gathering spot? The DMCVB has a contact list for recreational parks. A social media session explains how to use Facebook to promote your event, boost attendance and share photos.
You'll walk away with plenty of great ideas to put an authentically Detroit stamp on your reunion, with activities and events for all ages, featuring cars, culture, gaming, music and sports. After all, no visit to Detroit is complete without a stop at the Motown Museum or soaking up some history at The Henry Ford. And you'll hear how to qualify for free promotional items to support your event.
Registration is now open. Sign up for the seminar now.
