Visit Detroit is ready to help you plan your family reunion in The D. The Motor City, with its riverfront and island parks, green spaces and cultural centers, is a great place to bring the family together. Whether you call Detroit home, or whether you’re returning to your hometown for a visit, the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau (DMCVB) offers a variety of resources to make your reunion one to remember.

The DMCVB’s Family Reunion Planning Seminar, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Cobo Center, gives planners the tips and materials they need to plan a memorable reunion in metro Detroit. With informational presentations followed by an interactive trade show, the seminar serves as a one-stop shop for reunion planners looking for inspiration for their evetns, and it is completely FREE of charge.

"This seminar is a valuable event for the people who aren’t sure where to start with their reunion planning..."

In previous years, the event has attracted between 450-500 attendees and 45-50 exhibitors. By registering online, you’re guaranteed a spot at the seminar and access to vendor information and planning materials such as Visit Detroit magazine, the official metro Detroit visitors guide.

“This seminar is a valuable event for both the people who aren’t sure where to start with their reunion planning and the people who want to put a new spin on an annual tradition,” says Manager of Events & Travel Jennifer Miller. “They’ll come with a lot of questions and leave with a lot of answers, ideas, handouts and, not to mention, prizes and giveaways.”
